Why Choose A2 Ghee?

The Science Behind A2

Brain Health

A2 beta-casein protein supports cognitive function, memory and mental clarity for all ages.

Easy Digestion

Unlike A1 milk products, A2 ghee is gentle on the stomach and naturally lactose-friendly.

Immunity Booster

Rich in butyric acid, omega-3 and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E & K that strengthen immunity.

Skin & Hair

Natural antioxidants nourish skin from within. Used in Ayurveda for radiant skin and strong hair.

100% Chemical Free

No preservatives, no additives, no synthetic colours. Only what nature provides from healthy cows.

Lab Tested Purity

Every batch tested at certified labs for A2 protein content, moisture and absence of adulterants.

Our Process

The Traditional Bilona Method

1

Fresh A2 Milk

Collected daily from free-grazing indigenous Gir cows at our gaushala.

2

Set Curd

Milk is boiled and set into curd using natural culture starters overnight.

3

Hand Churning

Curd is churned using a traditional wooden bilona to extract butter.

4

Wood Fire Cooking

Butter is slow-cooked on a wood fire until it becomes pure golden ghee.

5

Lab Testing

Every batch is tested for purity, A2 content and quality before packing.

No Preservatives

It takes 25–30 litres of A2 milk to make just 1 kg of ghee

Unlike cream-based commercial ghee, our Bilona method uses the whole milk — the curd is hand-churned into butter and the leftover buttermilk (chaas) is fed back to our cows. That makes it far more nutritious, and naturally costlier to produce.

Nutritional Profile

Nature's Most Nutrient-Dense Fat

Per tablespoon (~13 g) of our A2 Gir Cow Ghee. Ghee is 99.5% pure butterfat — but what matters is the quality of those fats: short-chain fatty acids like butyric acid, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E & K that refined oils and commercial ghee simply don't offer.

How to Use

Ways to Include Ghee Daily

From everyday cooking to Ayurvedic rituals — here's how your family can enjoy pure Gir ghee every single day.

Daily Tadka

Heat ghee, add cumin, mustard seeds or hing — pour over dals, sambars and rasams for that signature aroma.

Deep Frying

A high smoke point (~250°C) makes it ideal for pooris, pakoras, kachoris and sweets without breaking down.

On Rotis & Parathas

Spread a teaspoon on hot chapatis, parathas or bhakris to keep them soft and add nutrition.

In Rice & Khichdi

Add a dollop to steamed rice, khichdi or biryani for richness and a sattvic, buttery flavour.

Ayurvedic Nasya

Two drops of lukewarm ghee in each nostril on an empty stomach — a traditional therapy for clarity & sinus.

Oil Pulling

Swish a tablespoon of melted ghee for 10–15 minutes each morning for oral health and detoxification.

Baby Massage

Warm ghee is excellent for baby massage — it supports bone strength, immunity and keeps skin soft.

Night-Time Ritual

1 tsp ghee in a glass of warm milk before bed promotes deep sleep, eases digestion and nourishes tissues.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and always use a clean, dry spoon. No refrigeration needed — ghee lasts 9–12 months unopened and 6 months after opening. It naturally solidifies in cold weather and melts when warm — both are completely normal and don't affect quality.

Questions?

Frequently Asked

Everything you wanted to know about our A2 Gir Cow Ghee.

How do I check the purity of A2 Gir cow ghee at home?
The easiest method is the pan test: heat a teaspoon of ghee in a small pan. If it melts immediately and turns golden-brown, it's pure. If it takes time and stays pale yellow, it may be adulterated. You can also scan the QR code on our jar to view the actual lab report for your batch.
Why is Bilona A2 ghee more expensive than regular ghee?
It takes 25–30 litres of A2 milk to make just 1 kg of Bilona ghee. Indigenous Gir cows give only 4–8 litres a day (versus 25–30 from Jersey/Holstein cows). The curd-churning method is labour-intensive, takes about 3 days, and the leftover buttermilk is fed back to cows rather than sold — all of which makes it inherently costlier to produce.
Is liquid ghee normal? What should the consistency be?
Consistency depends entirely on room temperature. Below ~20°C it solidifies; above ~24°C it melts into a clear golden liquid. It's completely normal for ghee to be liquid, solid, or half-and-half — this does not affect quality or nutrition.
Is this ghee suitable for lactose-intolerant people?
Yes. Ghee is clarified butter — the milk solids that contain lactose and casein are removed during slow cooking. Most lactose-intolerant individuals tolerate ghee very well. If you have a severe dairy allergy, please consult your doctor.
What do you feed the cows? Are any hormones used?
Our Gir cows graze freely on open pastures and are fed natural fodder (green grass, dry hay, mineral mixes). We do not inject oxytocin or any hormones to boost milk. All cows are cared for in gaushalas and family farms under our zero-cruelty policy.
Does the ghee come in glass or plastic?
Our ghee is packed in food-grade, reusable glass jars to preserve freshness, prevent leaching and protect from sunlight. The lid is BPA-free and airtight. We never use plastic for ghee packaging.
What is the shelf life? Does it need refrigeration?
Unopened: 12 months from manufacture. After opening: 6 months. No refrigeration needed — store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and always use a clean, dry spoon to keep moisture out.
How long does delivery take? Do you offer COD?
We ship within 1–2 business days, and delivery typically takes 3–7 business days across India. Cash on Delivery is available for most pin codes, and shipping is free on all prepaid orders above ₹999.
